Kaohsiung Municipal Social Education Center originated
from “Kaohsiung Social Education Work Team”, which
was established in 1950 at the site where 228
Memorial Park is located nowadays. In 1965, the
team was restructured and became Kaohsiung Municipal
Social Education Center according to the Social
Education Law. In 1971, the center moved its workplace
to No. 209, Jhong-Jheng 4th Road in Cianjin District.
Following the establishment of Cultural and Physical
Activity Center for Youth in Siaogang District
in 1995, Social Education Center has moved to
its present location. It takes the responsibility
of social education to refine the citizens, lives
under the four visions—learning, growth, innovation,
and excellence. |
